Meet the Artist
Join Rhythmmm for an intimate conversation with artist Nicky Conti, moderated by curator Maria T. Huang. The discussion explores Embodied Moments NYC — how Conti’s black-and-white street photography transforms into couture-inspired wearable art, merging photography, architecture, and craftsmanship into one embodied vision of New York.
A Moment Embodied Exhibition
A Moment Embodied marks the debut exhibition of Embodied Moments NYC, a new body of work by Maltese-born, New York–based artist Nicky Conti, in which fine art street photography is reimagined as couture.
The exhibition presents one garment from Conti’s seven-piece couture collection alongside its original fine art photograph, an on-location film, and a portrait of the garment worn in situ — completing the journey from image to form to lived moment. Curated by Maria T. Huang and produced by Rhythmmm.
Cocktail Reception
Join us for an evening celebrating A Moment Embodied, the debut exhibition of Embodied Moments NYC — a new body of work by Maltese-born, New York–based artist Nicky Conti, where fine art street photography is reimagined as couture.
Each piece in this collection transforms a black-and-white photograph into a one-of-a-kind garment, capturing the architectural and emotional pulse of New York. Created in collaboration with local artisans, the work merges image, craft, and place into a living expression of the city — where a photograph becomes fabric, and a moment becomes form.
